What telehealth means
Telehealth is care delivered through secure video, phone, or messaging instead of an in-person visit. Your provider reviews your health information and discusses appropriate options with you remotely.
Benefits and limits
Telehealth can make care more convenient and private. Because your provider cannot perform a hands-on physical exam, some conditions cannot be safely evaluated remotely. Your provider will tell you if in-person care, labs, or another level of care is needed.
Technology and privacy
We use secure systems to protect your information. Technology can fail; if a visit is interrupted, your care team will help you reconnect or reschedule.
Prescriptions
Medication is prescribed only when a licensed provider determines it is medically appropriate and legally permitted in your state. Delivery is available only where permitted.
Emergencies
Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
Your consent
